Duties:
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist Machine operators
- Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
- Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures
- Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
- Feed information akin to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box
- Place parts in semi-automated machines
- Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift
- Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift
- Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running
- Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments
- Ability to fabricate, weld, assemble, and package products as needed
- Quality control skills for inspecting finished products and identifying defects
- Materials handling skills for moving products between workstations or storage areas using hand tools or other equipment
- Knowledge of tooling used in manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery
