Lab Assistant

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Lab Assistant (overnight shift) accessions patient sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), accurately according to received requisitions.

Responsibilities:

• Review all information is accurate and meets company standards.
• Accepts deliveries from couriers.
• Accession patient sample information and physician test orders according to requisitions, accurately.
• Provide oversight of orders on requisitions on pre-accessioned samples.
• Identify missing information and execute proper route when missing information is identified.
• Provide oversight of physician/patient information required by HIPPA/CLIA/CAP and overall best practices.
• Scan patient requisitions for medical records.
• Maintain an error rate below .15% with a goal of zero errors per month.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• Education: High School Diploma minimum requirement
• Experience: 6+ months experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience working within MS Office Suite required.
• Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Salary Range: $17 - $19 per hour ($35,000 - $39,000 per year)
  • Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and education/certifications.
• Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 1:00am - 9:30am EST
• Lab Location: Clarksville, IN 47129. Onsite!
