- Competently performs phlebotomy and specimen collection procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to the scope of assigned duties.
- Performs other laboratory duties as assigned, including: inventory, stocking, waived testing, maintaining organized work area, miscellaneous laboratory duties such as microbiology plating, specimen transportation preparation, specimen accessioning and loading instrumentation, basic laboratory tasks such as slide preparation and staining etc.
- Complete DOT training for Urine Drug Screen and Breath Alcohol Collection through the hospital if not currently certified.
Qualifications:
- Three years phlebotomy experience, and certification by a nationally recognized agency preferred
- Graduate of phlebotomy training program preferred
- Graduate of accredited high school or GED program required
