Kitchen Manager/Cook

Sacred Heart Retreat Camp, one of the primary ministries of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, located in Big Bear Lake, CA, has an immediate opening for a Kitchen Manager/Cook. Responsibilities for this full-time, 30-40 hour per week position include all duties related to food preparation and kitchen safety for Sacred Heart Retreat Camp.

Requirements: Commitment to the vision and values of the Sisters Devoted to the Sacred Heart, knowledge of large kitchen food services practices, safe use of kitchen cleaning chemicals and experience in the use of food service tools and appliances. Experience as an institutional cook (5 years), supervisory skills and knowledge of nutrition, food inventory and meal planning also required. Must successfully pass a criminal background check due to the presence of minors.
