Job Description
The Stray Dog Bar and Grill is looking for an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to join our team! This role is responsible for all aspects of food produced and back of house operations. We are looking for someone with a passion for high-quality food, a strong work ethic, and the intent to lead by example with a positive attitude. A flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is a must.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee consistent, high-quality production of every order, including but not limited to:
- Food quality-control
- Food consistency
- Correct menu item preparation
- Reinforce policies, procedures in accordance with The Stray Dog service guidelines.
- Implement daily checklists and routines to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, safety policies, and sanitation and food storage regulations.
- Energize and motivate both FOH and BOH with a positive work environment.
- Recruit, train, monitor performance of, and discipline team members.
- Ensure the continuing education of employees to maintain a high level of skill in the performance of their duties.
- Assist in managing inventory and costs.
- Bridge communication between FOH AND BOH.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years relevant experience.
- Availability during peak times is a must: days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, leadership, and kindness.
- Proficient in food and beverage safety and service techniques.
- Ability to supervise employees effectively and ensure positive guest experiences.
- Knowledge of POS Systems (Squirrel preferred).
