Job Title: District Restaurant Manager Date: May 10, 2023 Reports To: CEO FLSA Status: Exempt Travel Time: Up to 20% Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 WACO Kitchen in Battle Creek, MI has a unique opportunity available for a District Restaurant Manager. Based in Battle Creek, Michigan overseeing the daily operations of two restaurants. The primary locations will be based in Battle Creek, MI and is an upscale unique venue with a nutritious fusion of American & European cuisine overlooking the runway at Battle Creek Executive Airport.
The second location is located in Lakeland, FL. As the District Manager, you will be responsible for complete oversight of both restaurants, but hands-on daily with the Battle Creek location. Operating hours are from 11:00 am 8:00 pm, Monday Saturday.

Scope: The District Manager is responsible for ensuring that all company standards, safety standards, expectations, and financial metrics are met. The District Manager guides, supports, develops and holds Managers accountable to successfully meet established metrics and develop metrics that are lacking.
District Managers work in partnership with the Managers to quickly tackle tasks, issues or concerns in order for the locations to operate at full capacity and within budget to be profitable. District Managers hire, train, and maintain a pipeline of developing leaders within their territory to support the continued growth of the company. The District Manager also plays the role of liaison between the Company and Restaurants, ensuring effective communication.
The District Manager will plan and direct all restaurant operations. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, service, health and safety for all food and beverage operations in Battle Creek, MI & Lakeland, FL. You will be focused on optimizing each guest's experience and achieving our company goals of taking care of our employees, who take care of our guests, and that in turn make the company profitable!
Essential Responsibilities include the following: Build relationships with managers and support teams at the restaurant level. Meets with CEO, members of the Management Team, walks the restaurants and identifies issues, congratulate successes, as well as ensures effective and timely resolution through the management team. Follow up till completion.
Monitor and report restaurant sales growth, costs and profitability. Develop action plans for improvement. Routinely conduct operation evaluations, resolve supply issues, resolve and consult on team performance issues, develop team and build bench of future leaders.
Willing to work hands-on in each location to develop and develop staff and improve sales. Strives to meet company goals to improve revenue, works productively & ef?ciently and asks for help when needed. Able to work with a variety of personalities and explain complicated information in a variety of ways so it is easy to comprehend.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting targets and attention to detail. Respond quickly & politely to customer comments, concerns & complaints (open Door, google, etc) Respond to all emails and comments sent in Plan and budget restaurant successfully Extensive food & beverage knowledge w/ ability to remember & recall ingredients & dishes to inform customers & Employees. Manage employee and manager performance in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Able to provide honest and timely feedback to employees and managers to improve performance and productivity with finesse. Ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources. Plan and monitor restaurant sales and revenue and Ensure cash management procedures are completed accurately.
Set operating goals and objectives that create a unique guest experience in all our operations. Analyze budget variances and take corrective actions. Focus on improving pro?ts of restaurant, Increase sales and catering events.
Adheres to policies & procedures & follows directions, able to work onsite for all shifts. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and disciplined change management Work beyond 40 hours per week may be required. S.) from four-year college or university; or six to eight years related experience and/or training. Requirements: 5+ years experience in full-service dining or hospitality required. 5+ years of progressive experience as a Leader/Manager/Supervisor required.
Experience in leading and developing a team of 3+ Managers in a full-service restaurant establishment. Must be able to visit Lakeland, Florida (once per month at a minimum in the first year) Home based with the ability to travel in Battle Creek, MI, when at home, will work on-site at the restaurant. Ability to work flexible schedule during restaurant operation hours.
Available after-hours for restaurant emergencies. No less than two (2) evening shifts per week (open till 8:00 pm, Monday Thursday/ 9:00 pm Friday & Saturday) Basic computer skills required, Microsoft suites
