SalaryJob Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring a smooth workflow. Responsibilities: - Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes - Help with cooking tasks under the supervision of the chef or cook - Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Assist with receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients - Support banquet or catering events by setting up tables, serving food, and cleaning up afterwards - Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area Qualifications: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred - Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Excellent teamwork and communication skills - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
