Job Description
SUMMARY
The Key Account Manager is responsible for the consistent growth in sales revenues and GM through positive planning, deployment and management of the key account(s) including:
- Secure and grow the market share with Strategic Account(s)
- Add profitable business to the Branch/Region
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement. Work closely with Middle Office to inspect process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement;
- Establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers;
- Collaborate with operations and pricing team on rates upon customer request, striving to maintain maximum profit margin and providing educated guidance .
- Successfully manage the needs of the customer by identifying areas requiring additional support to meet customer's demands and needs, without compromising company profits;
- Coordinate and complete bids, rates, and quotes;
- Respond to high-level customer requests;
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation and pricing for bids;
- Define pricing strategy in collaboration with the HFO & HMO
- Correspond with applicable foreign network;
- Lead global tenders and participate to sign-off with respective Middle Office parties
- Design and present global tenders to customers with supporting Bolloré Logistics functions and expertise
- Call on corporate steering committee to arbitrate financial, sales or operational disputes linked to international contract management
- Hold MBRs & QBRs to review customer portfolio and address issues & corrective actions
- Identify, approach, secure and grow prospects which could qualify as Key Account customers
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- MUST have international experience, minimum seven years related industry experience and/or training.
- MUST have good negotiating skills and interpersonal skills.
- MUST have Freight Fowarding experience.
- MUST have a proven track record of successful sales growth and profitability.
- MUST have a bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus.
