As an Account Manager on the Hempel team you will be responsible for Sales of Hempel products and Services. Develop sales in the assigned market segment in accordance with the action plans and strategies implemented by Sales Management. Support sales efforts in other Hempel segments as required. Other related duties may be assigned.
Here’s some of the responsibilities you can look forward to:
- Provide personalized attention to the corresponding customers through periodical contacts in order to satisfy their needs.
- Ensure achievement of individual budget in terms of volume, value and profitability.
- Provide technical specifications and commercial quotations upon customer’s requirements
- Develop new customers in order to grow sales and achieve fixed goals
- Inform Marketing Department of needs to develop new products, improve company’s image in the market place and help with information to Market Intelligence.
- Assist Finance Department in outstanding collections
- Develop individual budget, estimates, and forecasts
- Identify and develop new accounts and markets in line with territory growth plans
- Keep expenses in line with annual Budget/Estimate
- Report and negotiate any claim as soon as it occurs
- Anticipate and solve upcoming problems with customers
- Improve both the quantity and quality of sales calls through proper planning, preparation, goal setting, execution, and follow up.
- Ensure achievement of individual budget in terms of volume, value and profitability.
- Increase Market share through effective selling and customer focus to include but not limited to: preparing quotes, arranging service, liaise with Customer Service on order and pricing issues, assisting Logistics with customer paint requirements and product forecasting.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor degree in Business (a plus) or equivalent to 5 years’ experience selling in the Transportation Industry preferably the Rail Industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft package
- NACE (a plus, not required)
- Ability to work in a high stress and fast paced environment and multitask
- Must be a team player with “a can attitude” and willing to go the extra mile and effort for the team
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within assigned territory
