Key Account Manager

AVL Test Systems, Inc. (TSI) is a Plymouth, MI based company, searching for a Key Account Manager to join the team. This position is required to be located in Canada; preferably in the Toronto or Montreal areas to best support customer locations. AVL TSI is currently in the process of finalizing an entity in Canada to further expand our reach and growth. As this entity is not yet complete, this position will most likely immediately join the team in a Contract (full-time) or Consultant (full-time) status. Details associated with these types of employment will be discussed during the interview process with HR. AVL is an established company with a global footprint and as we we pioneer this new entity, we're looking for flexible & passionate candidates to join this venture.
The Key Account Manager will maintain & grow a market presence with the customer base, to have a high level of comfort and trust, enabling AVL to be their first choice for testing equipment among products with comparable pricing and technology. Considerable candidates for this position are required to possess a bachelors degree, in addition to 7 to 10 years experience. Preferred experience will include sales/customer management, exposure/experience with new technologies, and experience with testing & development of equipment. In addition, candidates should possess a proactive, adaptability, and strong communication skills.

Roles:
- Account management for majority of customers located in Canada (excluding B.C.).
- The primary focus is to sell solutions and products which solve customer needs.
- Identification of new accounts and development of existing accounts.
- Will require periodic account development planning and review of plan with their supervisor.
- Documentation of all sales activity in corporate CRM system per company standards.
- Follow all ISO sales processes for quotes and proposal generation and tracking.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, engineering or related area.
- 7-10+ years of experience in sales.
- Demonstrated superior sales experience or goal recognition required.
- Experience with a formal sales process and CRM system preferred.
- Domestic Travel can range from approximately 5 - 50%, depending on specific account base. Minimal overseas travel required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Fluency in English is required; additional French fluency is preferred.
