TITLE: K12 TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST / INTERDEPARTMENTAL FLOS LIAISON
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associates degree plus related experience, or a minimum of a regular High School diploma plus related experience.
2. Knowledge, experience and documented expertise of computers, computer networks, computer software and operating systems.
3. Experience and demonstrated expertise in the management of educational information, systems, reports, and design.
4. Minimum of three years experience in school or business administration.
5. Advanced Excel and Word skills.
6. Ability to independently complete assigned projects and responsibilities.
7. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to resolve complaints and concerns.
- Advanced computer knowledge including data file sharing and uploading.
- Knowledge of contract documents and specifications.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Organizing and coordinating skills.
- Knowledge of contractor compliance issues and procedures, as applicable to a public institution.
- Ability to assess contract compliance and product/service quality.
REPORTS TO: Director of Information Technology
JOB GOAL: Interdepartmental data management in relation to students and staff of Hendry County and K12/FLOS virtual school while providing prompt tech related services to all district schools and departments
SUPERVISES: None
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works as a interdepartmental liaison for data management
- Responsible for diagnosing problems and taking the appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues, and notify the appropriate departments, schools or individuals. 3. Provides for the maintenance and preventative maintenance of all hardware and software within the district's network and data systems.
- Monitors, evaluates and establishes appropriate security access, user restrictions and hardware/software configurations.
- Ensures back-up and recovery procedures are executed as scheduled, and assists in monitoring consoles and reports any malfunctions.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of system changes, along with State Department of Education reporting requirements, Skyward ERP and FOCUS SIS.
- Works with the District Database Administrator to complete state reporting surveys, quality assurance, and internal audits.
- Assist with student and staff data records and submit data to the state when requested.
- Develop and monitor all policies related to admissions, conduct, calendars, etc. 10. Review and inspect course listing and catalog.

- Aid and cooperate with any audits of contracts or programs.
- Assist with Exceptional Student Education and Federal Programs student data management load.
- Provides the supervisor with timely information on student and staff data requests. 14. Respond to any questions directed to the School District related to the K12 contract. 15. Performs all other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, Superintendent of School, or the School Board.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) months. Salary and work year to be established by the School Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the immediate supervisor.
