Job Description
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, one-two years experience in the automotive industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have excellent communication, problem solving, organization, time management, and decision making skills
- Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Tool and Die Apprenticeship Certification/Journeyman's Card, or associated bachelor's degree.
- GD&T Training

- Must be able to prioritize, delegate, multi-task, and work independently.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint),
- CAD software (Solid works, Keycreator, Autocad)
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949
Essential Functions:
- Perform basic CAD data modification on tooling to suit Martinrea and customer standards in order to produce acceptable parts within the cost window allowed.
- Create and modify 3D surfaces, being able to apply reverse engineering as required.
- Extract dies information and details to support tool room requirements and continuous improvements.
- Organization and control of Tool room server, having all die designs, die engineering data, specifications, CAD/CAM files, and internal tool room documents under control.
- Organization and control of critical spare parts, identify special critical spares and work with CNC department to get the necessary components done in timely manner controlling min/max . Follow up of new components for success during first strokes.
- Assist Tool Makers for trouble shooting critical process on press lines and bench, by analyzing data, GD&T, CP/CPK reports, press parameters and following die standards.
- Work with Tool Room Manager presenting weekly reports of Pareto's analysis for downtime.
- Continuous Development and follow up of Tooling Training Matrix, being able to create new material, and training Tool makers and die setters in each specific topic, working with Tooling Manager, specialist and engineer.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Tooling Manager

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of planes and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment: 50% Office, 50% Plant Floor (PPE Required)
