Our Jr. Sales and Education Executive (South) will work closely with the MERIT Director of Education as well as our retail partners to maximize consumer-facing initiatives and drive strategic in-store programs, events and Education. This role is in a fast-paced environment that offers an opportunity to be part of building a rapidly growing brand, with a focus on excellent strategy execution alongside our retail partners in store. We are seeking top talent based in the Atlanta (South) market.
MERIT is bicoastal with headquarters are in New York City and Los Angeles, but this role will be field based/remote.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the MERIT brand and drive for in-store Sales and training within designated territory
- Partner with management to create an impactful store-by-store strategy and action plan that is
specific to the stores needs and goals - Plan and execute in store events within assigned territory
- Develop store management relationships and find ways to motivate and engage in-store teams
- Negotiate more opportunities that will lead to higher Sales and more in-store visibility
- Drives retail sales through side-by-side selling in stores within the territory and executing events
according to brand guidelines - Participate in field team calls to strategize opportunities
- Hire, train, and schedule freelancers to drive business and maximize ROI
- Manage allocated Freelance budget and T/ E spend
- Achieve targeted territory sales growth within budgeted parameters
- Train cast, consultants and freelancers on MERIT Beauty selling techniques
- Ensure in store visuals and merchandising standards are met
- Ensure inventory optimization through proper store and corporate communications. This
includes managing stock levels & ACCR adjustments - Submit weekly sales recaps for assigned territory
- Develop positive relationships in store with key stakeholders, as well as district leaders within
designated territory - Meet in store visit cadence objectives for Sephora while driving corporate-approved education
initiative
Requirements:
- 2+ years within beauty with 1+ year prior in-store field sales experience at Sephora
- Make-up artistry skills
- A record of cultivating strong and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Prior event planning experience; fully owning successful events
- An ability to effectively problem solve
- An ability to work in teams and autonomously, providing self-direction when needed
- An ability to be agile and thrive in a dynamic, fast moving environment
- The ability to work Tuesday - Saturday shift schedule, as well as some full weekends
- A valid drivers license and ability to travel

We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary
compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 in addition to bonus
potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will
be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
