Junior Technical Project Manager

QUASAR is a San Diego-based company that was founded in 1998 and is a world leader in non-invasive dry bioelectric measurement and monitoring systems. QUASAR pioneered dry electrode electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring and has commercialized this technology as research-grade equipment for use in research. Building on the technical and commercial success of these products and recent additional government grants awarded, QUASAR is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to manage Technical Projects and support product and business development.

Job Responsibility Summary:

This is an opportunity for a junior level Technical Project Manager to oversee several government-funded research projects that are advancing QUASAR’s electrophysiological monitoring technology. This person will be under the guidance of the senior technical managers, and will interface with senior engineers and scientists as well as sponsors, customers, and business partners.

Job Responsibility Details:

• Develop user requirements with management and customers and drive the project to those goals.

• Manage our team of senior scientists and engineers to complete projects on time and budget.

• Interface with and manage subcontractors and consultants on projects.

• Lead weekly internal and monthly external technical meetings for each project.

• Provide concise project overviews to upper management on a regular basis.

• Identify and manage risks on a project and promptly report issues to management.

• Prepare written internal and external technical and progress reports.

• Prepare and lead presentations to government sponsors and business customers.

• Draft budgets and project timelines for multiyear and multiphase programs.

• Confer with management & customers to develop plans & milestones for future projects & products.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4-year degree in an engineering or science related field.

• Project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal skills, with a perfectionist personality.

• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with technical team, collaborators, sponsors, & customers.

• US Person status required.

Training:

The candidate will be supported by senior Technical Project Managers at QUASAR. This support will allow the candidate to leverage their knowledge and experience, while strengthening other areas and becoming well-rounded in Technical Project management.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
