Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in Windows server administration, excellent networking skills, proficiency in both Windows and macOS environments, and knowledge of cloud architecture. In addition to technical expertise, effective communication skills are crucial for this role.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Windows Server Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Implement security measures to safeguard server infrastructure.
- Networking:
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement necessary solutions.
- Ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.
- Desktop Support:
- Provide support for both Windows and macOS desktop environments.
- Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
- Resolve hardware and software-related issues on end-user devices.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Utilize monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of systems.
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks and updates.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.
- Keep records of hardware and software inventory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in Windows server administration.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Proficiency in both Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry computers and related peripherals.
Work Conditions:
General office environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Knowledge of security best practices and implementation.
