POSITION SUMMARY:
The Jr Instructional Designer develops the look, feel and flow for various learning systems and tools from the user's perspective. This role is responsible for content input for the learning management systems, testing of e-learning content, building of courses and assessments, and development of LMS workspaces. The role provides ongoing LMS and e-learning support, and provides first-tier troubleshooting of LMS issues, while also working with subject matter experts and stakeholders on elearning training projects. This role additionally creates layouts that enhance the user's experience through various visual touch points and develops communication items, presentation materials, and interactive learning materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify, create, and organize visual communications, user-centered learning assets, and e-learning training projects.
Plan, execute, and provide logistics and administrative support for e-learning programs and initiatives.
Analyze stakeholders' needs to determine appropriate communications, delivery methods, and content.
Support the implementation of new learning experiences. Moderate virtual learning experiences and manage virtual platform technologies for positive participant experiences.
Regularly evaluate, revise, update, and enhance visual communications, user experiences, and learning assets to reflect user needs, stakeholder feedback, changes, updates, or releases.
Maintain and expand knowledge of new developments in visual communications, instructional design, learning management systems and user-centered tools and technologies and other assigned tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
Technical knowledge and communication skills.
Extensive knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, authoring tools, and
learning management systems.
