We are actively searching for a Junior Facilities Technician based in San Francisco CA, who will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within a geographical region. This position will perform general building maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and appliance repair. The Facilities Technician will work alongside the Facilities Department leaders to maintain the aesthetic of our stores and ensure all equipment and systems are functioning optimally.
FACILITIES TECHNICIAN Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains store systems, equipment, and appliances.
Performs basic routine preventative maintenance activities for all HVAC-R systems.
Orders supplies and materials needed to complete assigned tasks.
Coordinates third party contractor activities and scheduling with Operations.
Utilizes Facilities Ticketing platform to track, assign, dispatch and resolve tickets as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
FACILITIES TECHNICIAN Expectations :
3-5 years of working experience in Facilities Management.
Must be flexible to work on weekends and be on call when assigned.
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and refrigeration.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, in high noise levels requiring hearing protection, and working around chemicals, cleaning materials, paints, etc.
