We have an immediate need of a Junior Estimator who is looking to grow in their career and get in the commercial construction sector. Great opportunity!
This opportunity does require some travel through-out the U.S.
Our company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position that offers an outstanding opportunity to grow and learn in the fast-paced engineering industry. The Junior Estimator will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, submission, and management of property and commercial construction project proposals. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management and commercial construction, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, and other necessary information.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of construction project budget proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and key team members to gather pricing information.
• Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Assist in maintaining a cost database to aid in future project estimation.
• Participate in proposal presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements to keep company estimating procedures current.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Junior Estimator in the construction or engineering industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in commercial construction and construction management.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on critical elements and, at the same time, remain mindful of the big picture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
