Job Description
We are a 10-person CPA firm seeking an experienced and dynamic Junior Accounting Manager to join our team, with RECENT minimum eight years of experience in public accounting in small and midsize firms.
The Junior Manager will be responsible for maintaining the books and records for complex clients and reviewing staff work in accounting and tax. Must have extensive knowledge in accounting, tax preparation, tax planning, supervising, and training of staff, and must know how to prepare and review payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, 571-L’s, and business license returns.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial compilations.
- Performing other tasks as required, including monthly sales tax deposits and quarterly reporting.
- Review and preparation of tax returns for different types of entities, with excellent knowledge in LLCs, S-Corporations, and Nonprofits.
Qualifications/Education:
- 8+ years of relevant public accounting needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA required.
- Experience managing other accounting staff
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Quickbooks, and Lacerte.

Applicant must be available to work overtime and Saturdays during tax season January-April or as needed. Benefits include: life insurance, paid sick time, paid vacation time, Simple IRA plan, allowance toward health insurance.
This opportunity can lead to Junior Partnership in two years, depending on fit and performance, if so desired by applicant. Salary will be determined based on applicant's accounting experience.
