Versar is seeking a Junior Policy Analyst/ Technical Writer to develop and implement financial policy framework for policy development, implementation, review/assessment, remediation that support USCIS’ financial management community. This position is hybrid at will report on-site one day per week.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Revise and update financial policy documents for the USCIS Office of Chief Financial Officer, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret and analyze complex policy language and legal nuances to ensure accuracy and alignment with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
- Review and draft policy documents with proficiency, maintaining a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Multitask to manage a volume of documents within each quarter, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project milestones.
- Deconstruct and map policy documents to ensure alignment with departmental and agency-level requirements, facilitating clarity and coherence.
- Work on the process of deconstructing combined documents into new documents, overseeing restructuring efforts and ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Utilize excellent writing and editing skills to rewrite policy content in a clear and self-explanatory manner, enhancing readability and comprehension.
- Analyze complex information and translate it into clear, concise policy language, facilitating understanding and implementation by stakeholders.
- Apply strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement in existing policy documents, enhancing effectiveness and compliance.
