Description
SAIC is looking for a hard working individual who is technologically minded and willing to work hard to help achieve our Air Force Mission.
This position is located at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Eglin Air Force Base in the Virtual Warfare Munitions Simulator (VWaMS) building. You will be working alongside others from several teams to improve and construct new infrastructure for the users of VWaMS as well as providing critical insight into infrastructure for a newer construction addition.
VWaMS is a TS/SCI simulation and analysis building. The infrastructure for the building is being built for the purpose of performing, storing, and analyzing data as well as performing red vs blue wargames. Due to an increasing requirement for infrastructure knowledge at scale, SAIC is looking for an engineer to develop and improve both new and existing networks in a way that integrates and/or may communicate with networks built to work across all of the directorate.
Qualifications
- DoD Secret clearance with ability to attain a TS/SCI clearance
- Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Packer, and other Infrastructure as Code technologies
- Familiarity with common programming language syntax (e.g., Python)
- Familiarity assumes the capability of reading/understanding pseudocode and self-driven self-sufficiency to learn to write in a language
- A self-driven work discipline
- The desire to learn, innovate, and lead
- A clear understanding of what team-oriented leadership means and the ability to implement it.
- Active Security+ certification
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies
- 100% in-person commitment
- This does not negate flexibility of <10% telework allowance contingent on meeting times and mission requirements.
