As a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure II, you will be responsible for delivering expert-level consulting services to clients, offering strategic guidance, designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructures. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their needs, assess existing network environments, and recommend and implement solutions aligned with their business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Consultation and Needs Assessment:
- Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their network requirements, challenges, and business goals.
- Assess existing network infrastructure, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Network Design and Architecture:
- Design scalable, secure, and efficient network architectures tailored to meet client needs.
- Develop comprehensive network diagrams, documentation, and technical specifications.
Implementation and Configuration:
- Implement network solutions, configure devices, and oversee installation and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network components.
Optimization and Performance Monitoring:
- Perform ongoing optimization of network systems for maximum performance and reliability.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary adjustments or upgrades.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect client networks from potential threats.
- Ensure network infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support, advice, and technical expertise.
- Communicate effectively to address client concerns, provide progress updates, and manage expectations.
Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an engineer level.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in network engineering, design, and implementation, preferably in a consulting capacity.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, both technical and non-technical.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
