TMA is looking for a Junior Art Director to join our agency in the Chicago Office. The candidate will be eager to learn and help bring brands to life through social, digital, and online video work.
As a Junior Art Director your focus will be on the work. You are a hands-on designer and artist. Your work will have polish and pop. And be full of intention. You are a team player for whom no job is too small and no deadline too tight. You'll collaborate with a team of creatives, wear many hats, and paint with many brushes. Besides the work, you're here to grow and build your career. Portfolio of work is required for applicants.
- Developing concepts: social, digital, experiential, promotional, etc.
- Handling a variety of duties from working on design projects to assisting the creative team with art direction needs
- Understanding input from Creative Directors and clients, and effectively applying feedback to creative executions
- Collaborating with teams of creatives, strategists and account leads to create a high volume of work on time, on budget, and on point
- Presenting to internal teams with confidence and intention
- Remaining up to date on cultural and business trends
- Effectively building relationships with teammates and clients
- Maintaining a flexible schedule, as weekend and extended hours are sometimes necessary
- Adding enthusiasm and positivity to team
- Bachelor's degree in a directly related field (advertising, graphic design, visual arts, etc.).
- 1-2 years of agency experience
- Concepting chops
- Experience in social and digital marketing
- Strong problem-solving, communications, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivation, and ability to solve creative problems under quick deadlines
- Ability to brainstorm in large groups and follow ideas from beginning to end
- Fluent in current Adobe Creative Suites Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Microsoft suite of products
- Portfolio available online
