Position: Joint Interface Control Specialist (JICC)
Reports To: Operations Manager

Salary: $60,000-$63,000
General Function
Mission Essential position that assists in the operations of the CONR-1AF (AFNORTH) JICC and Global Command and Control System (GCCS) Common Operational Picture (COP) Cell positions/equipment as well as their respective architectures.
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
- Data link activity status for (to include but is not limited to) the Pentagon, NORAD, EADS, WADS, 2ndFLEET, 3rd FLEET, Alaskan NORAD Region (ANR), Canadian NORAD Region (CANR), Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC), Airborne Early Warning Systems (AEWS), deployed Air Control Squadron (ACS).
- Data link equipment/COP hardware is operational for (to include but is not limited to) the Joint Range Extension (JRE), Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), GCCS, Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS), and Secure Telephone Equipment (STE).
- Documents operational status on the Daily Activity Report (DAR), Power Point briefings, Xircon Chat, and voice reports.
- Follows, reviews, and updates JICO cell checklists, job aides, and operational procedures.
- Analyze and evaluate new technologies and concepts that enhance information management and communication.
- Train others on TDL and COP operations/procedures; manage data coordination/track supervision communications nets; conduct/track data monitoring, operations, and coordination using all command and control (C2) and TDL/COP systems available.
- Shift work and shift rotation required to support 24/7 operation of the JICO cell.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
- Maintains an operational qualification Combat Mission Ready (CMR)
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
- Remain up-to-date and knowledgeable on all operational plans/documents with respect to the planning, fielding, and execution of Tactical Data Link (TDL)/COP architecture and CONR-1 AF (AFNORTH) operations/mission sets.
- Knowledge and understanding of Tactical Data Links including Link 11, Link 16, the Joint Range Extender (JRE), and data radio sets.
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems (OS) and desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
- Drug Screen and Background Check: Pass with the ability to maintain throughout employment.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Interface Control Specialist, operational qualification or as an ICT or JICO.
