RGi is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with an emphasis on Machine Learning Engineer experience and expertise in Python to join our cutting-edge Geospatial Intelligence analysis software development and operations. The RGi team is dedicated to building and maintaining a powerful platform that transforms diverse data into actionable intelligence, addressing real-world challenges. In collaboration with operational users, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining deep learning models in a production MLOps environment.
As a Machine Learning Engineer supporting the program, you will be working closely with software developers and teams to maintain and sustain deep learning models used in a production MLOps environment. Your role will be critical in maintaining and improving neural network model performances through ever-changing and ever-growing datasets and will require creative thinking and efficient delivery of solutions. You will be a key member of the team, where the rubber meets the road, doing work that matters for some of the U.S. Government's most critical missions, and utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps.

As a Software Engineer you will...
- Lead the research, design, and development of software applications for cutting-edge Geospatial Intelligence analysis
- Develop solutions that automate the integration of disparate data sources and technologies
- Define, deploy, and manage next generation data fabric to enable information transparency and data quality across systems
- Use deep learning modeling tools to design, build, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Design, create, maintain, and improve the data infrastructure to successfully implement a data fabric in an enterprise framework that automates data discovery
- Develop and recommend modern architecture components
Software Engineer Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud data processing services (AWS Cloud)
- Knowledge of neural networks and deep learning models
- Excellent programming skills in Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working under Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and processes
- Geospatial development or engineering background
- Effective communication skills
Additional Skills we'd like to see:
- AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps, Architect, etc.)
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms/databases like ElasticSearch
- Experience with Big Data ingest and processing technologies (ETL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch for Hadoop, SQL schemas and queries, Kafka, Spark)
- Experience with MLOps environments and technologies
- Experience with development in microservice-based architectures
- Knowledge of Neural nets and deep learning models
- Experience with Computer Vision problem sets
- Knowledge of and experience with Geospatial data and technologies
$80,000 - $180,000 a year
