Objective:
The role of the Placement Coordinator is to provide day to day career services for active students and graduates. The Placement Coordinator is responsible for intake of job orders from prospective employers and placement of appropriate and qualified students for each job. The Placement Coordinator will generate new job leads and provide the quality of service given to each prospective employer. The Placement Coordinator will provide continuous follow up with employer and graduate to ensure that both party’s needs and requirements are being met. Additionally, the Placement Coordinator is responsible for interacting with the Placement Department Manager on a daily basis.
MUST be vaccinated against COVID-19. Required to provide documentation during Onboarding process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· To assist each student and graduate in his/her professional development and in the development of his/her employability skills.
· To document, accomplish and maintain a placement rate of at least 75% of graduates in assigned program.
· To prepare students and graduates for a successful job search by informing them about job market updates, job opportunities and salary levels.
· Schedule, update and follow-up of all interviews.
· Establish, develop and maintain relationships with prospective employers.
· To maintain comprehensive records regarding each student and graduate’s interaction with placement and their job search.
· To take part in graduation ceremony.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of two years’ experience in the customer service/sales or marketing field.
· Ability to deal with individuals on a professional basis.
· Ability to function as a productive member of a team.
· Ability to use computerized systems.
· Ability to respond to immediate situations and provide solutions.
· Good follow-up skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet, and social media technology
- Great organizational skills and able to work independently.
- The ability to engage and motivate students and graduates.
- Assist graduates and future graduates in career placement.
- Able to interact effectively and professionally with a diverse group of clients.
- Prior Job Placement or recruitment is a plus.
