SalaryWe are looking for a full time employee to buy precious metals, as well as describe and enter data from the jewelry that we buy into a computer program that we use for police reporting. When there are no customers selling, the employee will focus on running our online ebay store.
As a full time associate with Arthur Yates and Son Jewelers, your main responsibilities would be:
- Precious metal buying (Gold, silver, and platinum.)
- Data entry for jewelry that we buy and have to process at the point of sale. Descriptions for jewelry pieces are written as well as photos are taken as part of this process.
- When not processing jewelry buys, selling on our ebay page. This includes the listing, photographing, and shipping of jewelry items.
- Other smaller tasks such as answering the phone, taking in and delivering repairs, cleaning jewelry, etc.
Experience:
- Previous experience in jewelry buying or selling is ideal but not required.
- Minimum High School Education or equivalent.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Typing skills are a must. No minimum WPM, but faster is better.
- Experience listing on online marketplaces such as ebay is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with jewelry terms and designs would be helpful.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 43 per week
