Job Summary
We’re looking to hire a hard-working Janitor/Ground Maintenance person who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our apartments & buildings located in Randallstown and Pikesville. You’ll be responsible for all cleaning duties including upkeep of stairwells, parking areas, community hall, (vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing restrooms as needed). Also, in addition to maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and emptying trash, individual will assist in apartment turnovers. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, is a team player and takes pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the apartment buildings and grounds.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, and empty trash cans daily
- Clean windows, replace light bulbs, supply restrooms, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis
- Wipe up spills and other hazards with sponges and squeegees
- Secure the building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
- Report areas cleaned and notify the manager of major repairs and problems.
- Perform Snow removal and spread ice melt as needed in winter.
Qualifications
- Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in janitorial services
- Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
- Excellent stamina and physical health.
- must be able to lift 50lbs and able to climb ladders.
- Must be a hard worker with attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.
