Janitorial/Maid Services Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a hard working Cleaner/Maid to join our team to do some occasional residential and commercial cleaning of homes, buildings and common grounds.
Role Description:
This is a part-time to a future full-time position for a Cleaner/Maid located in Maryland or DC. You must be willing to travel from various locations throughout Maryland and DC. Tasks performed may include sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests for replenishment when necessary
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing job duties
General Skills/Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
-Able to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have attention to detail, and be able to identify and report any concerning issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Must be reliable, punctual, personable, have a flexible schedule, have a smart phone and a reliable personal vehicle
- Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of commercial, industrial and residential cleaning techniques
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
-Willing to work days, nights and/or weekends as required.
