Responsible for providing information technology maintenance and supporting for IT-related activities. Accountable for ensuring continuity of computer services for users through technical planning, central IT collaboration and project coordination. This position will have a dotted line to the Deputy CIO for IT Operations and Services for TCUS.
ResponsibilitiesLocal expertise:
- Provide IT support to staff, teachers, and students in a friendly and timely manner
- Set up new user profiles, email accounts,
- Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
- Maintain and repair technological equipment or peripheral devices
- Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
- Performs other duties as assigned
In collaboration with Touro central IT:
- Install and upgrade anti-virus and Touro-specific software to ensure user and network security
- Support project work of varying complexity and priority, overseeing all phases of projects from conception to completion and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time
- Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
- Interact with department and management throughout the organization to resolve escalated issues and/or provide recommendations related to business, technical, budgetary concerns
- Act in alignment with organizational policy and system functionality while meeting user needs
- Assist with upgrading information and data security
- Assist with the network administration under the guidance of TCUS networking team
Qualifications
Education, Preparation, and Training
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or above in related field
- Three years' experience in computer support and maintenance
- Knowledge of networking a plus
