About the Job:
We are seeking a passionate, growth-oriented, and customer-centric Entry-Level IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role offers a unique opportunity for those who have a flair for technology combined with strong interpersonal skills. Ideal candidates will possess a learning mindset and a keen desire to develop their technical acumen and contribute positively to our organization's IT ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance technical knowledge through assisting fellow employees with technical issues, participating in provided training, and collaboration with more experienced team members.
- Respond to employee inquiries, assess problems and issues with IT equipment and applications, and seek resolutions in a timely manner.
- Take ownership of reported issues, collaborating with experienced team members and utilizing proactive research to find resolutions.
- Document common solutions in FAQ's, "How To's", and other employee facing communications and documents.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Assist in the deployment, patching, and management of computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Participate in IT training sessions and workshops to continually enhance tech knowledge and skills.
What we're looking for:
- Outstanding customer service skills, especially in verbal and written communication.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to demonstrate logical problem solving.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Expected to achieve A+ Certification within 6 months and Microsoft MCP within 1 year of employment.
- Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration.
- A proactive mindset.
- 2- or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Windows/Mac OS, iOS, Android, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic IT tools is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to occasionally (less than 10%) travel within the United States and Canada.
