POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Fantastic Systems Engineer opportunity reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure at primary Iconex locations in Morristown and Jefferson City.
A strong candidate will have the following qualifications - minimum of 10 years hands-on experience supporting troubleshooting networking equipment, servers and workstations, multiple years of experience in a client-facing (co-workers) environment with exceptional customer service skills; excellent verbal and written communication with detail orientation and the ability to track and manage multiple projects.
Should be self-motivator to support our primary locations in Morristown and Jefferson City Tennessee. The opportunity for this role is providing Onsite IT Support for Office and Lab equipment (servers, desktops, laptops, managing cabling, phone support, etc.) serving as the 1ST Line support for our Jefferson City and Morristown locations to ensure the highest possible degree of IT support for both locations. This role will also support the Network, ensure security and governance using the latest tools, as well as assisting the Manager of IT Infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily tasks examples are helping end users with their computers, managing 3rd party MSP’s and working with but not limited to “next-generation” security tools including MFA, end point protection.
- Supporting locations in Jefferson City and 2 Morristown (WHSE and Plant) locations by managing all Iconex IT equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, etc.) including printers.
- Ensures all Scanguns are fully operational and provide any remediation necessary to support.
- Supports all Printers (i.e. put-way, label etc.) are fully operational without any business impact.
- Works with 3rd party Network MSP for all network and infrastructure related items for both Jefferson City and the Morristown locations.
- Experience with cloud hosted VOIP including add / changes and administration of call trees and virtual call centers.
- Consult with IT vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering/Science or related field required.
- 2-4 years’ experience in system engineering and IT Helpdesk support required.
- Proven track record of success in IT support areas from Level I to Level III
- Experience supporting a warehouse and manufacturing environments including Scan guns, printing applications such as Bartender (preferred).
- Familiarity with end point support tools such as ConnectWise ESM (preferred)
- Experience with monitoring systems
- Solid Cloud Experience
- Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement and protect trade secrets.
- Exceptional networking skills and knowledge
- Strong communication skills
