Your Impact:

We're looking for a Senior Plumbing Engineer who is excited about working on advanced facilities projects that enable the heart of our clients' business (position reports to San Francisco, CA office but can be remote anywhere in the U.S). Join us and you'll have the chance to both support and lead projects at some of the world's most state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You may also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities with other design and engineering professionals and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will successfully deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for industrial building Plumbing systems and components.

You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Mechanical discipline for plumbing systems, codes, US national and international standards. In this role you will solve complex problems, take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, and work independently with minimal guidance in only the most complex situations. You may lead a functional team or project and serve as a best practice and quality resource. You'll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise mentoring junior team members to help your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.

Here's What You'll Need:

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

+ At least 10 years of practical application of mechanical engineering and plumbing design in complex industrial facilities

+ Extensive on-site field experience with the construction and installation of industrial plumbing systems and common trade practices

+ Strong comprehensive knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC)

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

+ Ability to travel 10-20%

Ideally, you'll also have:

+ Professional Engineer (PE) registration

+ Proficient working knowledge of Navisworks and some experience with Revit software

+ Experience with semiconductor, data center, cleanrooms, or other high-tech industrial facilities

+ Prior experience with plumbing codes outside the US and international construction projects

+ Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

+ Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

+ Passion for buildings and construction

The base salary range for this position is $98,900 to $264,700. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
