Position Summary
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation and configuration, operations, administration, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, including end-user systems. The Systems Administrator assists end-users in troubleshooting and solving common hardware and software issues. The Systems Administrator is accountable to ensure that all systems hardware, software, and operating systems adhere to organizational procedures, policies, and values.
Responsibilities
- Establishes a management system that defines systems access, security, and operational policies and procedures.
- Maintains IT systems and web environment by identifying requirements, configuration, installing upgrades
(software and hardware) and monitoring systems performance.
- Establishes and maintains systems specifications by analyzing access, information and security requirements and infrastructure.
- Establishes systems (server, hardware, software) periodical performance testing, tuning, and troubleshooting by designing and running systems load/stress testing and escalating application problems to vendors.
- Secures systems by establishing disaster recovery policies and procedures, completing back-ups, and maintaining documentation.
- Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.
- Updates job knowledge by tracking emerging internet and software application technologies, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and ongoing different requests and exploring opportunities that add value to the organization.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (preferred).
- Minimum of five years’ experience in IT or systems administration.
- Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, etc.), database tools, internet, email, and communication systems.
- In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture, securing and hardening Operating
Systems, Networks, Databases and Applications.
- Thorough understanding of the threat and attack landscape, attack vectors, vulnerabilities and how they are leveraged by malicious actors.
- Knowledge of the Security Incident Response lifecycle
- Security certifications, Software Administrator certifications (preferred).

Since 2002, TFCF has been assisting homeless women and children achieve self-sufficiency by providing housing and necessary supportive services. In response to the housing crisis and effects of mass incarceration and family separation, TFCF implemented an array of evidenced-based programs, housing and trauma informed approaches to address their needs. Equally important, is our leadership development and advocacy projects necessary to bring the voices of those most impacted by punitive policies into policy advocacy and civic engagement.

Time for Change Foundation's (TFCF) mission is to empower disenfranchised low-income individuals and families by building leadership through evidence-based programs and housing to create self-sufficiency and thriving communities. In 2002, our founder, Kim Carter took the pain of her past to create the remedy to end homelessness, family separation and incarceration. She knew that creating affordable housing and economic opportunities would give women the tools they need to reach self-sufficiency and reclaim their families. Today, TFCF's innovative approach has helped 4500 homeless women become self-sufficient, reunited 350 kids from foster care back with their moms and created a model that is being duplicated across California. Time for Change Foundation is a beacon of light, “We call it Home, Others call it Hope.” In, 2023 the Black and Brown Opportunities for Profit Center was launched to remedy the disparity in accessing Capital for Women of Color in the Inland Empire.
