It Systems Administrator

Advantia is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our team! This role will report to the Senior Director of IT, and will serve as the primary point of contact and conduit for support between Advantia Team Members and Advantia's 3rd party IT Managed Services Provider. The IT Systems Administrator will work closely with the IT MSP to ensure support requests are managed appropriately and in a timely manner, and work independently of the MSP as needed. This role is hybrid and requires traveling to our Mid-Atlantic locations, as well as being present as needed at our headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary POC and conduit between staff and the IT Managed Services Provider (MSP, Red River) to coordinate the delivery of effective IT support services for multiple offices across the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, DC, VA).
• Work independently of the IT MSP to manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment.
• Work alongside the Sr. Director of IT and IT MSP to manage and maintain the SharePoint environment.
• Conduct on-site visits when necessary to address requests, such as printer and operating system issues.
• Assist the Sr. Director of IT in the management and oversight of complex IT initiatives and projects.
• Troubleshoot and support label printers & large multi-function printers.
• Troubleshoot and support networking infrastructure such as access points, firewalls, and switches.
• Update and maintain documentation as needed.
• Maintain hardware and software license inventory with IT MSP.
• Assist with billing & tracking of hardware and software orders as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills with help-desk/customer service experience
• Excellent working knowledge and 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365 management, including Azure AD
• Strong multi-tasking ability
• Familiarity with SharePoint
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and services
• Familiarity with VoIP platforms a plus
• Experience supporting multiple locations
• Must reside in DC, MD, or VA to provide support on-site at locations in DC/MD/VA.
• Occasional travel to Midwest locations may be required

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience providing IT support remotely and on-site in a medium-sized corporate environment
• Preferred: Security+, Network+, ITIL, CompTIA A+ and similar technical certifications
