Our enterprise-level client is seeking to add an IT Support Technician to the team in Whippany, NJ. Please see below for full details-
Job Notes:
-6+ month contract / extendable and perm possible with good performance.
-ASAP start date
-Onsite in Whippany, NJ – travel to Morristown, NJ expected, travel to DC is limited.
-Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)
-Drug & Background required.
Note: This position will be expected to travel between Whippany, NJ, Morristown, NJ and Washington, DC when necessary. Expenses will be covered for any travel to DC. Not common to travel. The 2 NJ locations are within 10 minutes of each other.
Scope of Job:
• Installation Technicians provide desktop hardware installation services where basic technical skills are required. Installation Technicians will typically un-box and install kit to desk and connect peripherals, connect power cables, and perform any relevant power on self-tests. Basic steps to start automated builds and simple scripted post-login configuration can also be included.
• An Installation Technician will also physically connect network cables from desktop clients to associated network points where required.
• Installation Technicians do not provide hardware component installations, software configuration or technical troubleshooting services.
• The Installation Technician Service can be utilized within the overall design of a project rollout solution, for on-site desktop move requirements, technical call logging functions, on-site peripheral consumable maintenance and other functions.
