What You Will Do:
We have an opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our growing team out of our Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our computer systems and ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently. This role is pivotal in enabling our staff to execute their duties effectively through reliable IT support and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and Configuring Computer Systems: Setting up new systems and configuring hardware and software.
- Troubleshooting Desktop and Laptop Problems: Diagnosing and solving hardware or software errors.
- Setting Up New Users' Accounts and Profiles: Ensuring new employees have access to the company network, email, and other applications.
- Performing Regular Upgrades: Ensuring systems are updated with the latest software and security patches.
- Repairing Equipment and Replacing Parts: Handling physical repairs of computers and peripheral equipment.
- Documenting Processes and Keeping Records of software and hardware inventory: Keeping detailed notes on IT problems and their solutions.
- Helping with IT Projects: Assisting in IT-related projects, such as system upgrades or deployments.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with desktops, laptops, RAM, hard drives, and other PC peripherals.
Skills and Competencies:
- Entry-level knowledge of computer systems (hardware and software installations).
- Entry-level skill in the use and support of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
- Professional, responsive, and friendly customer service principles with the ability to consistently demonstrate regardless of the user’s title or level.
- Ability to communicate and understand the information in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Ability to establish and maintain pleasant and cooperative working relationships with coworkers.
- Ability to regularly attend work and arrive punctually for designated work schedule.
- Willingness to learn and expand IT skill set.
