Job Description
ABI is seeking a motivated and experienced Escalation/Project Technician to join our talented team. We are looking for someone who is results-driven, personable, attentive, and a true team player. Our team members possess critical thinking abilities, self-motivation, respectfulness, and courtesy. Candidates with the desired experience and based in the Los Angeles area will be contacted for a phone screening.
Responsibilities
As an Escalation/Project Technician, you will play a vital role in our organization's growth and development. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Being an escalation point for the Tier I and Tier II tech techs and working on escalated tickets
· Handling remote and on-site projects and support ticket requests.
· Installing, maintaining, and repairing client hardware and network equipment.
· Managing various software applications, including patches, upgrades, and integrations.
· Troubleshooting a wide range of computer and software issues.
· Identifying opportunities for IT infrastructure improvements for our clients.
· Staying updated on the latest supported software and hardware trends and changes.
· Completing special projects as assigned.
· Ensuring client documentation is up to date
· Work with Higher level Client Executives on Support issues
· On-site client visits are required from time to time
· Rotating on-call schedule
· After Hour Projects
Technical Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with expertise in the following areas:
· Managing and troubleshooting networks with up to 50+ users.
· Configuring and troubleshooting Windows 11 and other legacy operating systems.
· Deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server through 2022 as well as legacy versions.
· Configuring and troubleshooting macOS.
· Deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, etc.
· Deploying, managing, and troubleshooting virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
· Deploying and managing Microsoft 365, including migrations from On-Premises mail servers.
· Microsoft Office application suites through Office 365.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Apps, QuickBooks, and Accounting Apps.
· Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, and DNS (Subnetting, TCP, and UDP ports).
· Strong knowledge and experience in public DNS services.
· Configuring and troubleshooting Routers and Firewalls (WatchGuard, SonicWALL, Cisco).
· Configuring and troubleshooting VPN connections (SSL VPN, IKEv2, IPSEC).
· Configuring and troubleshooting Wi-Fi products (Ubiquiti, Ruckus, HP, etc.).
· Experience with VoIP telephone systems such as Allworx and Intermedia.
· Knowledge of a VLAN environment.
· Working knowledge and experience with ConnectWise Automate RMM System and Manage PSA.
· Working knowledge of IT Glue documentation.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should have:
· A bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent field experience (MSP history is a plus).
· 6+ years of relevant field experience with a proven track record of IT success.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with executive management, staff, and clients.
· Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
· The ability to collaborate with vendors to resolve issues promptly.
· Strong note-taking and documentation skills to streamline tasks and processes.
· Dedication to providing exceptional customer care and service.
· Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including occasional nights and weekends as required.
Certifications
While not required, the following certifications are considered a plus:
· CompTIA A+ or Network+
· Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365, Azure AD
· Firewall certifications
Requirements
· A valid driver’s license and insurance.
· Use of a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration is required.
