TITLE: IT Support Specialist
LOCATION: Supporting the South US
POSITIONOVERVIEW:
As an IT Support Specialist, you are accountable for coordination, location support, instruction and the review/working of store systems. Acting as a technical expert in the following: store systems, programming languages, system interfaces and hardware specifications. Performs hands on installation, technical support to users, development, and system administration as needed. Specifics are listed below; the list is not all-inclusive.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SupportandOperations:
- Support and educate store/location teams with their business system operations and how to use software and hardware effectively and efficiently.
- Respond to user inquiries; troubleshoot technical issues and resolve hardware and software issues as they arise, communicating respective to their level of IT comprehension. This may include after-hours support.
- Manage user accounts, including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, resetting passwords, and managing access permissions. Multiple operating systems including but not limited to Microsoft suite, Adobe, Azure directory, Revel POS applications, as well as other 3rd parties.
- Set up, program, and install POS, BOH PC, and other equipment at new locations.
- Coordinate and work with vendors to order, schedule for installs and other IT issues.
- Keep accurate records of technical issues including documenting actions taken to resolve problems.
- Oversee device support, including repair, reset and arrange for loaner equipment.
- Generate statistics and status reports for leadership and/or team members on the status of assignments.
- Work closely with the COO, owners, IT team, leaders, and business managers to establish work priorities and provide status.
Projects/Infrastructure:
- Install and configure hardware and software, including software applications, operating systems, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other hardware devices.
- Utilize basic networking skills such as running cables, diagnosing connections, and terminating ends.
- Install, support, and decommission rack servers, storage systems and network equipment.
- Identify and resolve network connectivity issues, including those related to LAN, WAN and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot ZV, audio receivers, speakers’ connections, and DirecTV routers.
- Update and maintain menu boards and raspberry PI’s.
- Install and maintain NVRs and DVRs.
- Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computers, devices, equipment.
- Performs independent system research to troubleshoot issues and analyze current applications or system features/functions.
- Estimate complexity for assigned projects and collaborate with IT team, offering alternative solutions, technical features, and related costs.
- Provide input on the evaluation of IT products, partners, associated vendors and facilitate the successful implementation of new technologies.
- Work with IT team in designing application modifications or new applications by performing process and applications analysis.
- Act as a technical specialist regarding programming languages, development and testing tools, system interfaces, hardware specifications, and the like.
