Job Purpose
The IT Support Specialist organizes and coordinates the technology at Y.O.U. under the direction of the Manager of Office Operations. In this role, the IT Support Specialist supports Y.O.U. staff with technology troubleshooting related to computers, phones, copiers, printers, audio/visual equipment, and other devices. This person will prepare equipment for staff and maintain inventory processes, including keeping equipment and software up to date. The IT Support Specialist maintains positive business relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal customers. In addition, this role serves to provide cross-functional support and to maintain organizational integrity. As a highly visible role in the organization, this person must possess a high level of emotional intelligence and integrity to respond resourcefully and timely to all inquiries and service requests.
Essential Functions
- Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and well-functioning.
- Provide day to day support of organizational intranet (Y.O.U. Share)
- Work with Manager and SharePoint Developer to increase capacity of Y.O.U. Share
- Create and upload monthly content onto office video monitors
- Support Y.O.U. staff with technology troubleshooting, serving as the first contact when there are issues. This includes technology issues such as software updates, connectivity, and password resets.
- Provide support to staff with hardware issues including laptops, monitors and computer peripherals.
- Monitor laptops for efficient performance.
- Maintain inventory equipment, including annual audit of items for usage and compatibility. This includes properly suspending and disconnecting cell service via monthly audit.
- Monitor service agreements for cell phone upgrade options.
- Follow organizational plans from Operations and Finance for proper disposal of end-of-life equipment.
- Support staff with audio/visual needs, including proper training.
- Maintain workspace reservation software and train staff as needed.
- Provide technical support for remote staff operating satellite office for summer programming and in-school staff conducting workshops and trainings
- Connect users to printers, internet, and servers as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements
Education
- Associate degree in Business or Technology or similar credentialing program preferred
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years direct field experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree required.
Requirements
- Previous demonstrated experience Microsoft Desktop Operating systems.
- Must have experience supporting Apple iOS mobile device environment.
- Must have experience using Microsoft Office365 products.
- Must have demonstrated experience in working on multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to/from Y.O.U. offices, partner organizations, etc.
- Must pass a background BCI/FBI check as a condition of employment.

Work Environment
- This is a position that is usually in the office but will require travel to satellite offices. The work pace for this position is sometimes fast paced where work is required for up to 2 hours at a time. Position requires low supervision from managers with intermittent prompts. Social interaction with clients and team members required frequently. The environment in which the job is performed outside a normal office space may include exposure to extreme temperature, noise, heights, or other hazards. All remains the same for any additional requirements for training.

Salary Description
$20.50 per hour
