It Support Specialist

DENYSE IS IN SEARCH OF AN IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Salary Range: $23.04/h - $26.45/h.

Location: Douglasville.

Job Summary:

On site support – Perform technical, operational, and training of computers, peripherals and software for end users in person and over the phone field staff.

Job Duties & Responsibilities include the following.

· Administers laptops, desktops, printers, switches, firewalls, phones (both desktop and mobile), DVR cameras, software deployments, and security updates.

· Installs and configures laptops, desktops, servers, workstations, including peripherals and associated software.

· Maintains inventory of IT equipment, company software, and related licenses.

· Ensures each workstation meets company standards. Performs prompt updates, fixes and upgrades.

· Administers company's cell phones, including troubleshooting devices, issuing new equipment, assigning lines, and re-purposing phones.

· Assigns users and computers to proper permissions in Active Directory as appropriate. Creates email addresses and the appropriate licensing for Microsoft 365. Also issues new user accounts for any applicable company provided software.

· Assists with training new employees with current company technology and ongoing training for current users with newly deployed technology

· Monitor network and technology health and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers, laptops, PC, and other network technology as needed.

· Follows established procedures and documents any new process.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop and server Operating Systems.

· Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure, computer hardware, operating systems, and Windows software.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.).

· Knowledge of and experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Online.

· Knowledge of and experience supporting VMWare or Hyper-V environments.

· Knowledge and experience support networking infrastructure and VPNs.

· Must have attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and resolve/overcome obstacles and challenges.

· Ability to work independently and with a team.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-demand environment.

· Willing to work nights and weekends and be on-call.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma / GED required for this position

· Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or another applicable field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 years’ experience in a related field.

Required Licenses/certifications:

· Certifications in a relevant field (MCSA, Network+, CCNA).

· Specific certifications or skilled training may be required.
