Under general supervision, the IT Support Specialist delivers ongoing IT assistance to system users through telephone, help desk, or on-site visits. Plays a key role in the procurement, setup, installation, maintenance, and security of all computer systems and network components. Proficiency in troubleshooting network anomalies and guiding end users through issues is crucial for this role. Ensures the installation and maintenance of high-quality network components and computer systems, all while delivering exceptional customer service and serving 13 counties within North Central Health District.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, and software for optimal performance.
- Respond to help desk requests and provide technical support via phone, email, or in person.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to ensure the effective delivery of IT services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to end-users on IT-related topics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to IT security and data protection.
- Procure new equipment as needed, including researching options, obtaining quotes, and coordinating purchases with vendors.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems and equipment.
- Manage and maintain the IT help desk ticketing system.
- Administer user accounts and permission in Active DirectoryBachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience
OR Associate's/Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related experience
OR One year of experience at the lower level Systems Analyst 1 (ITP020) or position equivalent.
