JOB TITLE: IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT: SYSTEM SUPPORT

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

In your role as IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the following essential functions:

• Provide Tier I customer service and technical support to end-users for hardware and software systems
• Configure new users in the domain, set up appropriate hardware and configure software logins according to policies and                 established deadlines.    
• Resolve routine end-user issues in a timely manner through established protocol and troubleshooting; escalate as necessary.
• Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users.
• Utilize and maintain knowledge bases, white papers, FAQs, and vendor documentation.
• Track and maintain a current inventory of IT equipment.
• Contribute to documentation of incidents, internal processes and procedures, maintenance of equipment, and training        manuals.
• Contribute to process development and best practices. Look for ways to improve resilience, performance, and supportability.
• Provide a consistent, positive image of Ace Distributing, its executives and employees to both in-house and the outside public.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications:

Required:

• 3+ years relevant experience
• Working with Windows OS (10 & 11) and Macintosh OS platforms
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, Teams 
• Experience with Apple iPads & iPhones configuration, troubleshooting and mobile device management.
• Experience with spyware and virus removal
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.

Preferred:

• Professional IT Certifications, Associate degree or equivalent experience, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP, or macOS and Apple iOS
• Experience working with Route Accounting systems, Accounting software.
