Overview
IT Support Specialist
Ecumen is hiring an IT Support Specialist for our Shoreview, MN Team. This is a hybrid schedule, working remotely and working in the office 2-3 times per week or as needed.

Responsibilities
The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring data security, and ensuring the smooth operation and efficient performance of Ecumen's computer systems and networks.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical assistance to team members experiencing IT-related problems by remotely troubleshooting software & hardware issues, configuring applications, maintaining support tickets, and providing guidance on computer usage.
  • Installs and configures software and hardware including new hardware devices, installing operating systems and software applications, and ensuring compatibility and smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Assists in maintaining system security by implementing and monitoring security measures, such as antivirus software and access controls. Stays current with the latest security threats and work on preventing cyber-attacks or data breaches.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, such as user guides and manuals, to help users troubleshoot basic issues on their own.
  • Researches and stays informed about technological advancements and industry best practices to recommend and implement new technologies or upgrades that could benefit the organization and provides continuous improvement of department processes.
  • Executes department processes such as procurement, security authorization, etc., in accordance with standard policies and procedures.
  • Leads and participates in projects, as well as works collaboratively within a team structure; manages multiple projects simultaneously for a wide range of technology solutions.
  • Provides escalated operational support to address issues beyond vendor services.
  • Qualifications
    IT Support Specialist
    Minimum Required Qualifications:
    • Associate degree in business or technology related field.
    • 2 years of related experience working in a help desk or technical support role.
    • Technical knowledge of industry-standard practices and techniques, including cloud computing, internet and end-user devices using various operating systems, technology management software and network systems.
    • Knowledge of various operating systems, such as Windows, Google, and IOS
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication in verbal and written formats as well as customer service skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills that includes the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent collaboration skills, experience working in a team environment and independently.
    • Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
    • Ability to work a hybrid schedule: working remotely and working in the office 2-3 times per week or as needed.
    • Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business or technology related field.
    • Experience with Active Directory architecture and management.
    • Experience with remote support tools and technologies.
