Form of workWe are looking for a hardware specialist who will provide the first line of real time support to our Firm's active sales and trading operations. This position provides the opportunity to be a part of the trading environment and interact with key stakeholders of the business as well as the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop skills while working on cross functional projects. This position reports directly to the Firm's Chief Information Officer.
Requirements
- Assist with new hire desk setups, account setups, moves
- Build and maintain computer hardware
- Troubleshoot and remediate trading floor system issues
- Provide hands- on and remote general IT support
- Conduct server and infrastructure maintenance
- Provide support and installation of VoIP phone systems
- Install and maintain proprietary and 3rd party software applications
- Build and maintain networks
- Perform cybersecurity related tasks, issue remediation and prevention
- Perform other projects/responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with various versions of Windows Desktop and Server
- Active Directory configuration and migrations is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to transfer information quickly
- Ability to provide exceptional user support and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to use standard desktop tools and applications effectively
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Ability to multitask and use discretion to determine most urgent matters that need attention, depending on their knowledge of the business impact of the issue/request
- Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures
- Strong sense of self-motivation, ownership, and accountability
- Must be reliable, proactive, and maintain composure under pressure
- Professional and ethical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Valid driver's license with access to a motor vehicle
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field; OR a two-year technical degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience
- At least 1 year experience in IT/Desktop Support
- At least 1 year experience in Server Maintenance and Network Support
- Must be able to frequently position self to maintain computers and workstations, including under the desks and in the server closet.
- Must be able to frequently move IT equipment, weighing up to 50lbs, throughout the office

Odeon Capital Group provides a total compensation package which may include a base salary, commissions, discretionary performance bonus, and/or a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $65,000 to 90,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The final base salary amount that is offered to any candidate, in any location, will be determined on several factors, which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or regulatory licenses.
