Location Description
Hopkins, MN is home to our Michael Foods, Inc. corporate headquarters. Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Support Analyst Intern serves as the initial point of contact for internal customers requiring assistance with issues impacting them or their area such as; cannot log-on to an application, hardware, software, network, production impacts/outages, password blocks, etc. Analysts receive requests for assistance via phone, email, walk-in's and Cherwell (incident and request tickets).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves Level One problems for users' workstations, personal computer software and hardware and communicates solutions to end-users
- Delivers, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user desktop hardware, software and peripherals
- Provide first line of support for users
- Introductory administration within Active Directory, adjusting security rights and day-to-day administration of accounts and systems
- Troubleshoot basic user connectivity issues and hardware/software issues
- Assist users during desk moves
- Creates and responds to Service Desk tickets
- Support of plant technology with assistance from onsite resources (Gaylord or Chaska)
- Other IT Helpdesk tasks as required
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Current enrollment, or recent graduate, in an undergraduate degree program in Information Technology.
- Customer first attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with standard business/office software applications as well entry level understanding of computer operating systems and basic troubleshooting techniques
