This position will support the hardware and software technology operation, manage network and server requirements for print and mail operations, and train multiple department personnel on the use of PlanetPress and other print technologies.
Effective December 31, 2023, there will be a general salary adjustment of 2.5% to the minimum and maximum of the range.
Location and hours:
This position is located at the Government Center at 300 Sixth Street South, Minneapolis, MN 55487. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In this position, you will:
- Support software, network, and server requirements for PlanetPress and various other printing programs.
- Manage the integration of PlanetPress by supporting multiple lines of businesses.
- Support the manufacturing equipment needed to include large format printing and cutting; create workflows for processing requirements.
- Troubleshoot production problems and requests for departments and customers.
- Train county staff on the use and requirements of prepress software and processes.
- operate and train the use of printing and manufacturing equipment.
- One of the following:
- Five years of information technology experience.
- Completion of five college/vocational/technical information technology courses and three years of information technology experience.
- Completion of approved Hennepin County IT internship and three years of information technology experience.
- Two-year college/vocational/technical degree in a technology field or approved information technology certificate and three years of information technology experience.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related information technology field and one year of information technology experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing, printing, and mailing environments.
- Experience with software such as Adobe inDesign, Photoshop, PlanetPress, Xerox Makeready, and Fiery RIP.
