Job Description
IT Infrastructure, Enterprise and MSP Houston-based company looking for an individual to help lead and grow the IT Business Technology support team in providing solid deployments, remote/local troubleshooting and resolution. We have over 250 customers in the (Greater) Houston area. We purely support businesses.
Customer setups are pretty standardized in that networks are implemented with Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco Catalyst Layer 2 / Layer 3 Network Switches, Microsoft Operating Systems server (2012/R2, 2016, 2019 & 2022), Microsoft products (Exchange 2010/2013/2016/2019, SQL various versions, Sharepoint, etc...), Microsoft MS365 support / solutions, Ubiquiti Enterprise Wireless Products/Solutions and provide computing solutions from Dell/HP. Some Customers are larger and we do deal with High Availability technologies, offsite / WAN solutions and Enterprise storage technologies.
We also provide IT audit remediation solutions and private cloud deployments. Thus, have variable levels of security expertise to thwart against cybersecurity issues. We also deploy monitoring systems (systems auditors, asset management) and alerting systems (LEM) to make sure that users are doing what they are supposed to do while ascertaining information when a potential threat is occurring.
This person will be a part of the IT Dispatch and Support Network Engineering team in providing onsite (or remote) consulting support to Customers. The Engineer will guide and assist in the workflow of the team using a ticketing process, dispatch calendar and emails. The Engineer will provide onsite and offsite solutions that require the knowledge of Cisco based LAN/WAN, Cisco based VPN, and TCP/IP v4. The Engineer will deploy, support and maintain infrastructures that have Active Directory, typical Microsoft Server technology i.e. File Sharing, Security, Printing and will track (asset) and log to continue the support of the Customer. The Engineer shall possess the ability to communicate well verbally (phones, conferences, virtual conferences and face-to-face), via emails and be professional with their peers and customers. The Engineer will also help guide Desktop in the support of Customers when it is required. Candidate MUST be willing to travel to customer sites using a personal vehicle or the company vehicle.
Minimal and required education are a Bachelors degree in a related technology field. Having a Bachelors in a Business or Finance related field is a plus. Candidates should have at least one major certification such as a MCP or CCNA and/or working towards the MCSA / MCSE and/or CCNP with about 3 to 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
This position is a growing position so, the base salary is shown above, but that can grow depending on performance. Our organization provides health, vision, dental and 401K.

- CCNP (Preferred)
