About the Position:
The Cloud/ DevOps Network Engineer has extensive experience with Enterprise-level networking and brings experience transitioning to the Cloud. The person in this role has a passion for eliminating manual processes through automation and for delivering solutions for our cloud network while helping us evolve our cloud capabilities to meet current and future needs. The Cloud/ DevOps Network Engineer works with our System and Infrastructure Engineering teams to deploy and maintain servers, networks, and systems supporting Crescent’s business operations. The Cloud/ DevOps Network Engineer collaborates with the team to help with the configuration, administration, and issue resolution of all areas of the infrastructure, including Windows Server administration, Active Directory maintenance, backup and recovery, endpoint virtualization, business applications, and end-user cloud technologies. The Cloud/ DevOps Network Engineer will contribute to the technical direction for enterprise-class solutions, which call for active redundancy, dynamic failover, high availability, disaster recovery, and other critical functions, and monitor systems to ensure optimal performance. The Cloud/ DevOps Network Engineer will work closely with the IT Security team to ensure security controls are implemented according to industry standards and requirements in a highly regulated industry.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for designing, building, monitoring, and maintaining the network from our on-premises networks to our cloud networks in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.
  • Collaborate to define best practices and guardrails for the Cloud in general, and the network.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure-as-code for cloud-native services, with a focus on cloud Network Engineering.
  • Ensure capacity planning for current and future network needs, as well as for highly available systems to reduce the risk of loss-of-service.
  • Contribute to designing cloud architectures that are technically optimized, operationally efficient, and cost effective.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience in system administration
  • 3+ years’ experience with end-user virtualization technologies (VMWare Horizon)
  • 3+ years’ support of Business applications
  • 3+ years’ support of Infrastructure applications – SCCM, KASE, backup and monitoring tools
  • 2+ year’s administration of end-user Cloud technologies - Azure, Teams, Office 365
  • Experience hands-on cloud engineering with Azure, with a major focus on enterprise-level cloud networking
  • Extensive, hands-on experience with network capacity planning and cost optimized network design, implementation, monitoring, and support at the enterprise level.
  • Demonstrable experience solving complex problems within both the cloud and legacy networks for large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Hands on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), such as Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM Templates.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.
