We are seeking a technically skilled Senior Consultant-level Project Manager who is a true collaborator, communicates exceptionally well, with an IT background and demonstrates a history of successfully planning, managing, and completing complex IT Infrastructure Projects. You will lead and manage IT system integrations supporting Manufacturing Applications, while ensuring strict adherence to GxP/Validation standards.
***While work for this role can be done remotely, candidates must reside in the Sanford, NC area to be present at the client site as needed.***
As an IT Project Manager (Senior Consultant) at Project Outlier, you will:
- Typically manage 1 complex or 2-3 less complex IT system implementation projects for a single client.
- Regularly communicate with the client to understand their project goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Ensure that project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, resources, high-level timelines, and key constraints are clearly understood before kicking off detailed project planning.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to a sufficient level of detail to track key project deliverables, tasks, task owners, dependencies, and timelines.
- Manage assigned project team members, including people from other organizations, to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery of all in-scope project deliverables.
- Quickly identify, resolve, and/or escalate critical project risks and issues.
- Ensure that clients and key stakeholders are effectively informed about projects via regular project meetings, dashboards, 1:1s, and steering committee meetings.
- Be accountable for the success of all assigned projects, project teams, and project deliverables.
What You’ll Bring:
- Possess a relevant degree from an accredited, four-year college or university
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a consultant or in a consultant-like role
- Have at least 5 years of IT project management experience
- At least 3 years of experience within biotech/pharmaceutical industries/GxP preferred but not required
- Must be a project driver who is experienced in taking initiative to set direction for projects, push project issues to be resolved, and adept at analyzing situations and developing solutions
- Have successfully managed a variety of IT Infrastructure Projects (e.g. network architecture/build, conference room build/upgrade, facility builds/moves, enterprise-wide laptop replacements, help desk implementations, IT security, GxP Lab build/migration, AWS migrations, etc.)
- Ability to create and manage timelines using Microsoft Project
- Demonstrated ability and comfort to work in ambiguous and ever changing environments
- While work in this role will be remote, candidates must reside local to the Sanford, NC area to go onsite as the need requires.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
